Familiar Paces

Time is a concept that many ignore, not thinking about the depth it holds and how our consciousness is what holds it together. In my film “Familiar Paces” I wanted to convey how our memories are made of time which we as humans are capable of capturing in small glimpses that remain with us for as long as we can hold on to them. Memories can allow us to replay warm moments in time we don’t want to forget, but they can also haunt us. My film uses a few long clips which have been split and edited to portray how we can capture experiences and time, sometimes getting lost in our ability to hold on to and manipulate such moments. We’re lucky to be able to keep time so close to us, however, sometimes it’s what you fear the most and cannot escape.
